On June 3, 2026, American Expediting abruptly ceased all operations, leaving employees across the country suddenly without work — many with little or no advance notice. Federal law (the WARN Act) generally requires companies of this size to give workers 60 days' written notice before a mass layoff or shutdown, and workers who don't receive it may be entitled to up to 60 days of back pay and benefits. If you were employed by American Expediting when operations ceased, you may have a claim.
