Deborah Mallgrave named one of Daily Journal’s 2020 Top Women Lawyers
Partner Deborah Mallgrave has been honored as one of Daily Journal’s 2020 Top Women Lawyers. The award is given to California lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional skill in their legal practice. A trailblazing advocate for survivors of childhood sexual abuse and human trafficking, Mallgrave was singled out for her work as lead counsel in a high-profile human trafficking and civil RICO case against the global religious institution La Luz Del Mundo for sexual assault, forced labor and other criminal acts. She regularly holds the largest corporations and institutions accountable for injustice and wrongdoing and chairs the firm’s Sexual Abuse and Human Trafficking Litigation Practice. A number of Mallgrave’s cases have drawn national media coverage.
Mallgrave is president of the Public Law Center, a pro bono law firm that works with 1,600 lawyers and other volunteers to provide free legal services and access to justice to low-income and vulnerable residents of Orange County.
