Sarah Kelly-Kilgore Named to the ABA’s Elite “On the Rise” List – the Top 40 Young Lawyers in America for 2022
The American Bar Association has named Los Angeles Managing Partner Sarah Kelly-Kilgore as one of its “On the Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers” for 2022. The extraordinary honor and national recognition is given only to ABA Young Lawyers Division members who exemplify a broad range of high achievement, innovation, vision, leadership, and service to the profession and their communities. Selection is a testament to a lawyer’s “superb reputation as an outstanding lawyer and servant to the public,” says the ABA. The awardees are 36 years or younger and have been licensed for 10 years or less as of September 1, 2021.
Kilgore was honored as one of the Daily Journal’s Top Women Lawyers 2022 and included on Benchmark Litigation’s 40 and Under Hot List 2021. She is co-lead counsel in lawsuits filed for the Trustee of the PG&E Fire Victim Trust against former PG&E vegetation management contractors for their responsibility in contributing to the causes of deadly wildfires of 2017-2019 in Northern California.
In 2021, Kilgore won a significant arbitration award representing a major dairy cooperative in a multimillion-dollar breach-of-contract case against two competitors in a bet-the-company case and was a lead attorney in a gender discrimination case against an Am Law 100 law firm brought by a female partner that the Daily Journal called “groundbreaking.” In 2020, she co-chaired a Greenberg Gross team that won a jury verdict against rideshare giant Uber Technologies in a trade secrets case. Kilgore is president of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s (LACBA) Barristers Section for 2021-2022 and serves on the LACBA’s executive committee.
Kilgore earned her J.D. at Georgetown University Law Center and led her San Diego State University water polo team to the NCAA Final Four.
