About
John Orr is Counsel with Greenberg Gross. After spending over a decade defending Nevada employers in healthcare and employment litigation, Mr. Orr witnessed firsthand how Nevada workers are often disadvantaged when confronting discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage theft. This experience ignited his passion to stand with employees and ensure their voices are heard and that they understand their rights.
Mr. Orr’s prior experience provided him with invaluable insight into how employers analyze risk and make personnel decisions. He now uses that knowledge to empower Nevada employees and level the playing field. Mr. Orr is particularly passionate about confronting the unfairness that occurs when employers manipulate employees’ wages—through unpaid overtime, off‑the‑clock work, misclassification, and many other forms of wage theft. Mr. Orr believes every worker deserves to be paid fairly for the labor they provide, and he fights vigorously to hold employers accountable when they take advantage of their employees’ ignorance of wage and hour laws.
Mr. Orr earned his J.D. cum laude from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he served as Articles Editor for the Utah Law Review and was actively involved in pro bono service. He received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University–Idaho, graduating with honors.
Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Orr frequently volunteers with the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada’s Ask-A-Lawyer Program where he guides individuals through the smalls claims process.
