Greenberg Gross Case Named among The Recorder’s Top Verdicts of 2018The Recorder recognized Greenberg Gross’s trial victory in Smith et al. v. Montebello Unified School District et at. among the Top Verdicts and Settlements in California for 2018. The list, published on June 25, 2019, recognizes the highest grossing awards in various categories.
In Smith, partners David Stein and Wayne Gross, and Associate Claire-Lise Kutlay vindicated a former superintendent for the Montebello Unified School District who was retaliated against for exposing corruption within the District. As one of the largest single-plaintiff whistleblower retaliation verdicts in California history, the firm’s victory earned recognition among the Top 10 verdicts and settlements in the employment related cases category.
